From an early age, children hear, absorb & learn that words are made up of a combination of sounds. As children develop, they hopefully will learn the sounds that are associated with each letter. As they experience more words, sounds, letters & their shapes from A-Z , it is intended that children will also learn to combine them & therefore become readers. Children Live What They Learn believes that a child's natural attraction to music & animals will enhance the process of learning how to read. It is essential that they establish sucessful reading skills at an early age. This will probably lead to a can do spirit of self-satisfaction from accomplishment. This in turn should re-enforce good reading habits as well as a positive self-image, which would provide a real head start in life. Once the basic process of proficient reading has been attained, a child can then concentrate on comprehending the subject matter they are reading. At this point, your child has developed some of their most important capabilities which will help carry them through life.
